This is the agreement between you (the “Customer”) and WebRise Nigeria (“WebRise”, “we”, “us”) when you purchase a project through our monthly payment plan. It is written in plain language so you can make an informed decision without needing a lawyer to interpret it. By accepting this agreement during onboarding and making your first payment, you confirm you understand and agree to these terms.
1. Your project and plan
WebRise will design, build, host and support the project you selected on your chosen plan (for example a Premium Website, Business Setup, Mobile App, or a Custom quote). The scope, deliverables and timeline agreed during your planning call form part of this agreement. Small clarifications and refinements within the scope are included; changes that materially expand the scope may require a written change note and an adjusted price or timeline.
2. Deposit and monthly installments
You pay a one-time deposit at checkout to start the project, followed by fixed monthly installments until the total project price is paid in full. Your first payment is your deposit; each subsequent installment is due on the same day of the month as your first payment, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Payments are processed by Paystack; the amount and schedule shown to you in the portal is the source of truth.
3. Hosting and maintenance
Hosting, maintenance and third-party subscriptions (domains, email, analytics, app-store fees, payment gateway fees, and similar) are billed separately from your project installments and do not reduce your project balance or count toward ownership. Where a plan includes a hosting allowance, we will make that clear before you accept.
4. Ownership
WebRise retains ownership of the project (including source code, build artefacts and hosting configuration) until the full project price is paid. After your final installment clears, we will transfer ownership of the delivered project files to you at no additional cost, and cooperate reasonably with a handover of hosting and third-party accounts where applicable. Content you supply (text, images, logos, brand assets) remains yours throughout.
5. Missed payments, grace period and pauses
If a payment fails or is missed, we will notify you and try again. You have a grace period (as shown in the portal, typically seven days) during which we continue work as normal. If the installment remains unpaid after the grace period, we may pause active work and hosting until the balance is brought current. We do not charge undisclosed penalty fees; any late fee, if configured, is shown to you in the portal in advance.
6. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate business and contact information, to review and approve project milestones within a reasonable time (so we can keep to schedule), to supply content and assets you want us to use, and to hold the rights to any content you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of information published on your project.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time by writing to our support address. Because our team begins design and build work as soon as your deposit clears, the deposit is generally non-refundable. Any installments already paid are non-refundable to the extent work has been performed; if you have paid ahead of schedule and no work has yet been delivered against those funds, we will refund the unearned portion. WebRise may cancel for prolonged non-payment or misuse of the service, in which case we will provide reasonable notice.
8. Disputes
We will always try to resolve any dispute directly and amicably first. Please contact support so we can look at the issue together. If we cannot resolve it within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue remedies available under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
9. Limitation of liability
We take real care with your project, but we cannot guarantee outcomes such as sales, rankings or uptime of third-party services outside our control. To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebRise’s total liability under this agreement is limited to the amounts you have paid to WebRise in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Notices and support
Formal notices should be sent to our support email address published in the portal. Day-to-day support requests can be sent through the portal. We will keep the support contact details in the portal up to date.
11. Changes to this agreement
We may update this agreement from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you before they take effect and will not apply to projects already in progress except where required by law. The version and effective date shown at the top of this page indicate the currently published copy.
12. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in the WebRise Privacy Notice, which forms part of this agreement.
